What we do
Fairmontel gathers facts about 1,000 hotels in 250 Canadian cities and towns: where each one is, its category, facilities, room types, photos and contact details. We organise them by province and city, add short planning guides, and send you to the hotel itself when you are ready to ask about rates.
We are not a booking agent. We do not take reservations or payments, we do not show live prices, and we do not hold rooms.
Where the information comes from
Hotel descriptions, facilities, room types, coordinates and photos come from the Hotelbeds hotel catalogue. They are supplied in English and can be out of date: hotels renovate, rebrand and change services. Treat our pages as a starting point and confirm important details with the hotel. Distances and nearest-airport figures are straight-line values from the catalogue.
The planning guides and province summaries are written by us from general, widely published knowledge. They do not include prices, and we recommend checking official sources for rules such as park passes or winter-tire requirements.
Independence and income
Hotels do not pay to be listed or to be ranked higher, and we do not accept payment to change what a page says. Where a hotel has a website of its own in our data, the button on its page links there. The site may show Google advertising measurement for our own promotion, which runs only if you accept it in the cookie banner; see the Privacy Policy.
Name and independence
The guide is called Fairmontel and is published at fairmontel.com. The name is ours alone: Fairmontel is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to Fairmont Hotels & Resorts or any other hotel company. Hotel and brand names that appear in listings belong to their owners and are used only to identify the properties.
